If you have decided to buy a luxury hot tub you may not realize just how much more you can do to improve it. Just pouring a slab of concrete in the backyard is not the way to treat a luxury hot tub. It deserves a luxury spa enclosure. A spa enclosure is a something that provides a set and setting to your hot tub. It also may provide protection from rain and snow, if you choose to use your hot tub in bad weather. There are many commercially available spa enclosures, but these are for regular low end hot tubs. A luxury hot tub deserves something build by a custom general contractor. This article will briefly describe some of the most popular advanced spa enclosures.

One of the most popular ways to enjoy your luxury hot tub is to make it the basis for an outside man cave. A man cave is a place to get together and drink a few beers, and watch some sporting event, or a movie on TV. The man cave enclosure is usually constructed with a floor made of diamond steel that has been welded into place. The walls look great with privacy glass bricks. You need a place to mount the stereo, speakers, and TV. Don't skimp on the home theater system it can be a measuring stick among friends. For the ultimate in man caves you may even add beer on tap.

The most traditional spa enclosure is the gazebo. A gazebo if placed in a reasonably well taken care of garden can provide a soothing and relaxing atmosphere. One of the best designs I have seen is to surround the gazebo with a Zen meditation garden. The focus here is on a relaxing environment. You can probably do without the TV, but it might be nice to upgrade from the "Boom Box" in many luxury spas to a real stereo system to play the music that relaxes you most as you sit in the hot tub. Also if you haven't already purchased a hot tub look for one with a aroma therapy dispenser. The commercially made scents can drive the relaxation to the maximum.

Some individuals may enjoy having a traditional wood enclosure. Redwood when stained makes for an excellent decking material and serves well for a wall and roof as well. Other wood options include a paneled oak enclosure. Providing that the wood is properly maintained it will last a long time. You don't want the feeling you are sitting in a sauna though so it is best to leave some open space to the outdoors. Wood can deteriorate quickly if not stained regularly. In this type of enclosure it is basically a deck. Surrounding the enclosure with a brick or stone patio may be nice. You also want to be sure that you have a sufficient audio system, and if you like a weather proof TV.

One of the more elaborate settings for a hot tub is a Japanese Garden. This will cost a good deal to install, and will need maintenance regularly you may even need a gardener if gardening isn't one of your hobbies. Adding a Kio pond to look at as you relax to the internal waterfall of the pond and looking out over the beauty of the garden is sure to supply ample rights to be proud of what you have accomplished. In this scenario the hot tub is placed inside of a bamboo pagoda like structure looking over the garden. The floor is made of a bamboo matting material. This gives you the perfect reason to have a Japanese Garden because with the hot tub you will be able to enjoy it every day. This is probabl not the place for a TV or stereo, but it is a place of beauty.

The spa enclosure that you pick should be defined by how you plan to use your hot tub. If the hot tub is for relaxation, recreation, for a party at night you will have different ideal components. You also have to consider the price because there are many ways to do these things for less if you are willing to have something a little less than what you may have dreamed of. It is almost always better to have a general contractor install a custom garden and enclosure than to buy one that is commercially produced. If you are handy, you may even be able to do much of the work yourself. It is a similar situation with the garden, make sure you have enough time for maintenance of the garden, or are willing to hire someone to do it.
